The virtual Granny - always there to read a book to children.

This app brings a “granny” reader, along with 3D objects in AR, into the room, reading aloud The Little Prince.

With the app The Little Prince in AR - Lite we want to bring the imagination-stimulating reading of books into our modern world and decouple it from space and time.

The proverbial grandmother is not always available when a child would like to have someone read a book aloud, but many parents also do not want their children to be entertained only by television or videos.

This is where the Augmented Reality app comes in. While the camera of an iPhone or iPad is pointed towards the room, the reader and interesting 3D objects are immediately projected into the room and can be experienced from all sides, just like in real life.

You can also simply put the device down and listen to the reader, perhaps even falling asleep comfortably.

The current version covers the first few minutes of the book and is intended to show what is possible and whet the appetite for more. If you want to know how the app is progressing, and possibly support production of the full book, you can subscribe to the newsletter.
